Atlantic Oysters are all Crassostrea virginica – but not necessarily created equal. We believe that those hailing from the cold waters of Maine and New England are the best anywhere -robust and briny in flavor. Perfect for service on the half shell, with or without mignonettes, or try them baked or on the grill. We ship the freshest oysters in our inventory the day of your order, with our preference to locally harvested Maine oysters – like Winterpoints, Pemaquids, Dodge Coves, Bagaduce, and Glidden Points (to name a few). Two Dozen. Ships Live. Farmed. US. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION/CARE: Product is live. Discard oysters that have broken or still remain open after pressing on their shell. Store in refrigeration upon receipt, covered in damp towels or paper, preferably so they lie flat. DO NOT store in fresh water or ice. Do not store in air tight plastic containers or bags. Best when prepared day of arrival, oysters will live up to 5 days in refrigeration.
