Wild Caspian Caviars
The grading of caviar is a rare art. The consistency and uniformity of the grain color and size, the firmness and texture, as well as the flavor and aroma are all factors considered in caviar grading. World renowned chefs, restaurants and individual connoisseurs alike depend on the expertise of Browne Trading to provide reliable, consistent selections of the world's finest caviars. To satisfy all tastes, we offer caviars harvested from the Caspian and Black Sea, and imported from countries of the former Soviet Union and Iran.
As of Spring, 2009, the export of Wild Caspian Caviars has been suspended by CITES (Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species). Browne Trading now has only a limited supply of our Astara™ and Caspian Caviars left in stock.
Astara™ Iranian Caviar is exclusively distributed in the United States by Browne Trading Company and reigns supreme among caviars. It owes this distinction, in part, to the pristine environment along the Iranian coastline.
The south Caspian Sea provides ideal living conditions for the sturgeon. The sea bed descends to several hundred meters, offering the bottom-dwelling sturgeon vast areas of rich nutrition, as well as the sandy bottom and steady current they prefer.
Fresh caviars with first-class qualities, standard size grain, yet still possessing exquisite flavor carry the name of Browne Trading. Harvested from caviar-producing countries bordering the North Caspian sea, these are traditional favorites once favored by the Tsars of Russia.
