Join Us for the Caviar & Wine Dinner in Portland, Friday November 9th.

Hosted by our friends at the Portland Harbor Hotel, this dinner will begin with a caviar and champagne reception followed by a four course dinner featuring Browne Trading seafood and caviars, with paired wines. Rod Mitchell will be on hand to speak briefly about the selected caviars. Please call Eve's at the Garden in the Hotel at 207-523-2079 to make your reservation. Price per person is $75, plus tax & gratuity.

September 15 & 16, 2007 : Maine Fare Festival, Camden, Maine- Maine Fare celebrates Maine's culinary resources and features Tastings, Exhibits, Panel Discussions and Cooking Demonstrations. Come meet some of the most recognized chefs, growers, artisans and foodwriters from our state!

Chef Jen Flock of Browne Trading Market will be conducting a seafood cooking class, and some of our products will be featured during the Tastings.

August 30, 2007 - Browne Trading Co. is very pleased to welcome Chef David Pasternack to our Portland Store as part of his national book tour for his new cookbook "Young Man & the Sea." Chef Pasternack will be signing copies from 4 -7 p.m.

July, 2007 - Jen Flock joins Browne Trading as the Corporate Chef and Manager of our Browne Trading Market here in Portland. Jen started her career in the kitchens of bakeries, restaurants and hotels. She received her Culinary Degree from Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. Always curious in the ways of daily operations, she worked her way through various positions in the food service world. Most notably in the local industry was a five year tenure at Fore Street Restaurant here in Portland, Maine. Prior to joining us, she served as the Food and Beverage Director at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. She has completed her first certification towards Master Sommelier, and plans to continue this pursuit.

We are both pleased and proud to offer you a stronger web experience when learning about our company and placing your order through our store. We hope that you will find our site both informative and user friendly.

Throughout the year we will be adding information about our products, events at our retail store in Portland, Maine, recipes and tips, and profiles on some of our favorite chefs in the business. Please bear with us as we continue to make our updates in early 2007.
